Cookie policy
FANTABOOMER uses technical tools — cookies and browser local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences — and, only if you consent, an analytics tool to understand which pages are used. We do not use profiling cookies, we do not advertise and we do not share data with advertising networks. For technical tools the law does not require your consent, but it does require that you know what they are (Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Garante's guidelines of 10 June 2021): here they are, one by one. This is a translation: if it differs from the Italian version, the Italian version prevails.
1Technical tools, always on
They live in your browser, on the fantaboomer.com domain, and none of them is used to recognise you outside this site or to follow you on other sites. Keys in localStorage stay until you clear the site's data in your browser; those in sessionStorage disappear when you close the tab.
firebaseLocalStorageDb database, written by Google Firebase when you sign in: it holds the tokens that keep the session open, renewed automatically every hour. Without it, signing in does not work. It is cleared when you sign out. fb.cookieConsent: whether you accepted or refused statistics, when, and on which version of this page. It avoids showing you the banner on every visit. fb-lang: the interface language you chose. fb.sidebarCollapsed: whether you collapsed the side menu of the signed-in area. fb.auctionSound: whether you muted the sound during the auction. fb.chunkReload: when we publish a new version of the site, it prevents the page from reloading more than once in a row. fb-name-later: whether you postponed entering your name, so as not to ask again on every page. firebase:, written by Google Firebase during the live matchday and the auction to remember which server to connect to. Firebase may also create the IndexedDB database firebase-heartbeat-database, which holds only the dates on which the site used the library. fb.dataSource.mode and fb.dataSource.apiBaseUrl: they appear only if you open the site with the ?mock= test parameter, which we use for development. Normal users do not have them. The league you are working on is not saved in the browser: it is in the page address.
2Usage statistics, only with your consent
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to know how many people visit the site and which pages they look at: without numbers every change would be a gamble.
_ga and _ga_<ID>, set on the fantaboomer.com domain, which hold a random identifier to tell one visit from another. With them the Firebase library creates the IndexedDB database firebase-installations-database with an installation identifier. Google may also process this data in the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses. The rest is explained in the privacy policy.
3Changing your mind
You can withdraw your consent, or give it if you had refused, whenever you like: the button below deletes the saved choice and the Google Analytics cookies, and brings the banner back. Until you choose again, statistics stay off. Withdrawal does not affect statistics already collected.
Your current choice: you have not chosen yet: statistics are off.
4Third-party services
fantaboomer-a8ff5.firebaseapp.com) and then the provider's open, and they set their own cookies on their own domains under their own policies. We have no access to their contents. 5In the app
The Android and iPhone app uses no cookies and no statistics tools. On the phone it stores only the Firebase sign-in session, the chosen language (fantaboomer.locale), the last league opened (fantaboomer.activeLeagueId), the mark that it already looked for an invitation on first launch (deferredInviteChecked) and, if you allow them, the notification code. They are removed by uninstalling the app.
6How to clear them from your browser
You can block or delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings, for all sites or only for fantaboomer.com. Bear in mind that blocking the technical ones stops sign-in from working: they are what keeps the session alive.
7Changes
If we introduce new analytics or marketing tools we will ask you before enabling them, with a banner that lets you choose, and this page will list what each one does. When the version of this policy changes, the banner comes back for everyone.
