Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we get asked most. Your league’s exact rules are in its Rules page.
It’s fantasy football played on a classic Serie A season. Pick the year, run the auction with your friends and follow the matchdays live: scores come from the real matches of that season.
No. That season’s story is already written and the stats are there to study. But there are three things you can’t know in advance. And a fourth you can’t control.
All clear?
When each league matchday starts, what gets replayed is drawn at random from what the league hasn’t played yet. From then on, line-ups are locked and visible to everyone. What came out stays secret until the matchday is scored, even for the admin: knowing earlier would mean being able to look up the real results.
The admin decides what is drawn. By default it’s a whole real matchday, the same for every team. Alternatively, one match is drawn for each real team: Inter its 5th, Parma its 15th, and so on, with no team ever replaying a match it has already played. Once the matchday is scored, you find out which matchday each team played.
It can happen: anyone with a good memory, or the archive open in another tab, can spot a real matchday quickly. That’s why the admin has two ways, in the League settings, to make it much harder to recognise. They can be used together.
Either way, only the road to the result changes, not the result: ratings and final scores are those of the real matches. Both choices can be changed between matchdays, even mid-season, and you’ll find them in the league’s Rules.
You play with your last line-up, minus any players who are no longer yours. If there’s no previous line-up, or the market has emptied it, the matchday counts as 0, so it’s always worth setting one.
Anyone who plays starts from 6, the base rating (the admin can change it). Then bonuses and penalties are added. These are the starting values of every new league:
Assists and yellow cards count in the seasons that recorded them (assists from 2003/04, and in 2001/02). Own goals are there in every season and carry their penalty. Saved and missed penalties count where we recovered them from the match reports: 2003/04 to 2011/12, and 2001/02. When a season lacks a figure, the league rules say so next to the rule.
The admin can change them in League settings: your league’s values are in its Rules.
Yes. By default, the rarer a goal is for the role, the more it’s worth: +8 goalkeeper, +5 defender, +4 midfielder, +3 striker. So a defender with 6 goals in the season (6 × 5 = 30) brings the same bonuses as a striker with 10 (10 × 3 = 30), plus +1 every time his team keeps a clean sheet; the striker instead loses 0.5 when his team doesn’t score. Attacking or defensive: you decide at the auction.
The admin can change these values. Older leagues keep theirs: there a goal is worth +3 for everyone, until the admin changes it.
By default the first goal comes at 66 fantasy points, then one more every 6: 66 is one goal, 72 is two, 78 three. Below 66 you don’t score. So 72 vs 67 ends 2-1, and 69 vs 66 is a draw. The admin sets threshold and step.
The admin, from League settings: bonuses and penalties, goal threshold and step, credits, fixture format. Each league has its own. A matchday already scored stays as it is: changing the rules mid-season doesn’t rewrite matches already played.
Every team starts with the same budget (500 credits, unless the admin decides otherwise) and builds a 25-player squad: 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders and 6 strikers. The admin picks the format: by call, timed, sealed bids or around the table.
With the league link, which the admin finds in Members and can copy or share. Whoever opens it before the league starts joins with their own team; afterwards they join as a guest, and the admin can assign them a free team from Manage teams. No league yet? Ask the organiser for the link, or create one yourself.
Yes: the admin adds a co-manager from Manage teams, who runs the team as an equal: line-up, auction, releases and trades.
On the site, Preferences › Delete your account; in the app, the profile icon at the top right › Delete your account. Name, email and marketing consent are deleted. Teams and matches played stay in the leagues, because they belong to the others too: instead of your name they’ll show «User no longer registered». A team you own passes to its first co-manager (the earliest added), if it has any; otherwise it stays under «User no longer registered» until the admin assigns it to someone else.
